IBIZA WORLD CLUB TOUR

Scheduled on

This week, the Ibiza World Club Tour radio show is back in the top ten of the DJ Mag Top 100 voting, to be precise, in 9th place, because that's where Timmy Trumpet cavorts. The likeable Aussie is in charge of this week's guest mix and is undoubtedly one of electronic dance music's most explosive performers. An award-winning, multi-platinum artist, Timmy has carved his way to the forefront of the dance music industry and taken the world by storm. His breakthrough release FREAKS racked up over half a billion streams, went platinum six times in Australia and topped the charts in ten countries. Debuting on the main stage at Tomorrowland Festival in 2017, it is the most streamed set of all time on the official YouTube channel. Timmys can already look back on a long, varied music career. Timothy, his real name, learned to play the trumpet when he was a child. At the age of 13 he received a Best Young Musician award and an education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he was tutored personally by the conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In addition to classical music, he also developed a great passion for jazz and improvisation. At 14, he toured Europe with James Morrison and an Australian All-Star Band, performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival, among others. Timmy not only improvised with the trumpet in jazz and current pop music - when he discovered house music, he also incorporated the instrument there. After DJing for the first time himself, he decided to make it his career. Trumpet samples became his trademark in his own productions from 2009, and he also plays the trumpet live in his DJ performances. He also developed an app that can be used to simulate playing a trumpet on a smartphone. In 2010, Timmy Trumpet was already among the top 10 DJs in Australia. Performances from Miami to Ibiza to Thailand followed. International stars such as Armin van Buuren, Dizzee Rascal and Fatboy Slim booked him for their tour program and worked with him. His productions such as "Trrrumpet" and "Melbournia" (with Chardy) became dance chart hits. By 2014 he had risen to number 2 DJs in Australia. Since then, numerous releases have followed, including collaborations with Hardwell, Blasterjaxx, Chainsmokers, Laidback Luke, Technoboy, Julian Jorden and other global players in the dance music scene.
