DJ Howard (Ibiza)

DJ Howard Hill is one of a relatively small group of DJs who champion the eclectic ‘Balearic’ style of DJing, taking listeners on a musical journey that encompasses a variety of genres and moods.
In 2012, when he held a daytime residency at the Atzaro Beach Club, Space Magazine (The lifestyle magazine of internationally famous club Space) named him as ‘Best Daytime DJ’ on the island.

This certainly doesn’t mean he only plays daylight hours but it’s a tribute to his sensitivity that he is able to read and support the vibe of an event, be it energizing the atmosphere during cocktails & canapés, creating a lush atmosphere for an upmarket restaurant or bar or
kicking the dance floor at late night private parties.

By choice he rarely plays clubs. “I find clubs rather restrictive musically. I understand of course that when people enter a club they want to be able to jump on the beat and dance but without the strictures of a constant BPM you can be more
adventurous. Also, if your objective is not necessarily to get everyone dancing, as with beach, pool or lounge venues, you have to listen and watch carefully to make sure you are doing your job of connecting with and entertaining everyone.”
