BIO –

In recent years we have seen the star of DJ EFUNK emerge as a recognizable staple in the underground house music scene in Thessaloniki.

His musical identity is music from the US(New York, Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco etc), french filtered house and jackin style.

Born and raised in Stuttgart Germany he engaged early as a teenage DJ in the Hip Hop culture and gathered strong musical experiences from the black music scene (funk, electro-funk, rap and soul).

Started Dj’ing in school parties and local clubs in Ludwigsburg and Stuttgart while he was still a high school student.

Deeply influenced by the black local DJ’s from USA spinning in the area of Stuttgart (Cut master Rob etc.), he mastered advanced turntable techniques and achieved the 3rd position in the official DMC Greece.

During his university years he founded the BASEMENT parties together with friends and introduced the original New York and Chicago house sound to the city of Heraklion and island of Crete.

Today he is presenting a radio mix show every week at plasticradio.gr and making DJ appearances in Bars and Clubs in Thessaloniki and abroad, focused mainly on places with dance culture.

His DJ mixes on Mixcloud.com are positioned among the top 3 positions for #house and #deep house in Greece and the top 10 in the #Global Chicago House chart.

DJ EFUNK made recently (24/3/23) his debut as a producer with the track “Music in the night” together with the talented electronic music producer EMANUEL.

The track is released by Scuba Grooves and is available on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbGV878kfps and all music stores worldwide.

His regular DJ booth contains 2 DENON PRIME S5000M PRIME vinyl-feel CD players, an Allen Heath XONE92 mixer, a Bozak 4 band Isolator, a TRAKTOR CONTROL Z2 and 2 Technics MK II turntables.

Happy and open to all kinds of collaboration with Clubs, Bars, Event Organizers, Radio Stations, Record Labels and music professionals.
