Dimuth K shows

Born on the 24th of August 1991 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Dimuth K’s musical journey began at a very young age when he found himself enthralled by many different forms of music. Initially being most captivated by movie scores and its significance in conveying a story, this prompted him to dig deeper and find new types of music which ultimately resulted in the birth of his career as an electronic music DJ.

He soon found himself transfixing crowds with his Groovy, Progressive House sets and was quick to gain popularity on the decks with his energetic and versatile performances across the island at many clubs, festivals and parties and is a regular guest act at one of Sri Lanka’s leading clubs. Dimuth has warmed up for artists such as Roger Martinez, Khen and UNER and shared the stage with heavyweights such as Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Jeremey Olander, Cid Inc, Fehrplay, Third Son, Alex Kenji, Weekend Heroes, Ben Coda, Arno Cost, Sonny Wharton and Tristian Garner. He draws immense inspiration from watching people connect through music and aims to take them on an emotional journey spreading positive energy through his music.

It was in the year 2013 that Dimuth started professionally producing music and has since become synonymous for his approach to creating Trance, Progressive House and Tech grooves that are emotional and uplifting, captivating listeners around the world. He was awarded the first ever accolade for Best/DJ Producer in Sri Lanka at the Yes Home Grown Awards in 2017.

His productions that are centered around cinematic and euphoric melodies with a groove that is flawlessly blended, are signed on to colossal labels such as Particles (USA), Balkan Connection (Serbia) and Movement Recordings (Greece) and was also featured on Max Graham’s “Cycles 8” released on Black Hole Recordings. He has already been supported and charted by industry legends such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John OO Flemming, Max Graham, Gai Barone, Marcelo Vasami, Mariano Mellino, Stan Kolev to name a few.

His music has been played at Warung Festival (Brazil), CODA (Canada), Loveland Festival (Amsterdam), Sziget Festival (Hungary), Treehouse (Miami) and numerous other international clubs and festivals. Dimuth also successfully launched his own radio show “Roads Less Trodden” in 2017 which he hosts on DNA Radio.

2016 saw Dimuth co-found THE BLUEPRINT., the brain child of his own and fellow Lankan producer SAJAY. Together they have launched a movement to bring likeminded people with a shared love for electronic music together to uplift and highlight young local talent with many plans in the works to host more events, and artist showcases and to finally achieve his dream of setting up a record label.

Dimuth continues to strive in order to keep growing as a versatile artist while simultaneously expending great efforts to develop the Sri Lankan electronic music landscape and to keep spreading good energy through his music.
